Long exposure of this beautiful water temple. Built in 1663 Pura Bratan is dedicated to the water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, very important for the fertility of the area. Located at 1200 m above sea level, the area has a nice cool feeling, a nice change from the otherwise hot tropical climate. If you are not bothered from the gazillion of tourists that surround the area, you can find the opportunity for great photos. As a first time visitor in this country, the architecture and artwork leaves me with a wide open mouth… Lake Beratan, Bali, Indonesia.
What I like in this photo: frozen water look, mountain mist and clouds, perspective of the temple, overcast tones, architecture and location.
